Balans The Remixes Part 3
Artist: Darko Esser
Releasedate: May 31st, 2010
Catalog id: WOLF 017.3
Darko Esser’s debutalbum ‘Balans’ received overwhelming feedback & reviews from DJ’s, magazines and most importantly from the listeners: people who took the time to listen to the album via various means and send heartwarming comments back to us.
We have scheduled a series of 4 remixsingles to accompany the albumrelease. All the remixers are personal friends of Darko and the label and are artists we admire. For part 3 we have lined up techno and house heavyweights Chymera and King Roc who both delivered not one but 2 mixes for this EP!
Irish melody master Chymera has released a string of succesfull releases over the years on popular labels such as Cocoon, Ovum and Figure. He kicks of with a proper old school mix, wich brings back to mind timeless early ‘90s E-Dancer and Reese compositions. He makes the bassline bite, growl and howl like the best Saunderson productions back in the day. More Detroit vibes on the regular remix, wich takes a bit of the acid out of the original and replaces it would those beautiful, melancholic Motorcity strings.
Martin Dawson aka has been on the up and up since a few years with highly succesfull projects as King Roc (critically acclaimed album ‘Chapters’) and Two Armadillos with Giles Smith. As King Roc he turns Bofkont into a floorburner of the highest order and under his own name goes more in depth with a dubinfluenced and emotionridden take on the original.
